De Bianchi, classe 1922, pittore e scultore, eletto dalla Famija Varsleisa quale
Vercellese dell’anno 1993 per meriti artistici, insegnante di disegno e
scultura al liceo artistico della città. Artista di grande talento, le sue
opere si trovano in collezioni pubbliche e private di tutto il mondo, nonché
nella sala culturale di una portaerei americana. artista arrivato tanto che la
sua firma si trova tra le opere del "museo Borgogna" di Vercelli
(importante pinacoteca italiana); le sue imponenti sculture, sempre eleganti ed
armoniose, si stagliano nei punti più caratteristici della città di Vercelli.
Nel corso della sua carriera ha collaborato, quale grafico, a riviste e giornali, illustrato svariati libri di carattere culturale e testi didattici adottati dai maggiori istituti statali d’insegnamento italiani.
Il maestro Arturo Sacchetti, organista e direttore d’orchestra di fama mondiale, di lui scrive: «suono e colore, vibrazioni ed immagini, componenti apparentemente dissimili eppure strettamente amalgamate. ad ogni nuova contemplazione delle sue tele si rinnova la magia, quasi come riascoltare una pagina musicale conosciuta, allo stesso modo del rileggere un verso ispirato. È il riprovare sensazioni ed impressioni felici: rimembranze del tempo trascorso eppure specchio del presente».

The painter and sculptor Guido De Bianchi was born in 1922 and elected the ‘vercellese of the year’ in 1993 for his artistic skills. He also teaches draughtsmanship and sculpture at the city’s art school. an artist of great talent, his works are to be found in private and public collections around the world, not to mention in the cultural room of an american aircraft carrier. his name has become so well known that his work is also to be seen in the Museo Borgogna (an important italian art gallery) in vercelli, and his elegant and well-balanced sculptures stand in the most important parts of the city.
During his career he has worked as a draughtsman for magazines and newspapers, and has illustrated cultural and educational books used by renowned italian teaching institutes. The master Arturo Sacchetti, an organist and orchestra conductor known around the world, wrote of De Bianchi, he uses «sound and colour, vibrations and images – apparently dissimilar yet closely integrated components. The observer enjoys a sense of magic every time he contemplates De Bianchi’s canvases, almost as though one were listening to a known piece of music, or reading an inspired verse. Sensations and impressions come bursting through, remembrances of the past yet also a reflection of the present».
